Trends!!!

Picked up a copy of the Vogue trend book in Kurt Geiger like 2 weeks ago

This is an essential guide i believe, i mean its Vogue! this Spring/Summer is going to be fun

Trends
White- I don't think white is my colour really but i will give it a shot for this summer its always good to try something new. White is one of those colours that is  hard to pull off  you leave your house wearing white but you come back home and its turned into cream.
Floral- I love flowers this one is a hit for me lol its girly, pretty  floral prints, accessories, tea dresses, maxi dresses .
Shining- sequins , metallic gold, bronze, silver its all about metal almost futuristic. Shiny material that when light reflects on it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.

Suits- Topshop and Zara make brilliant suits for Women the suit
has to be sharp clean cuts, power suits but in all shades of the colour
palette. Cropped blazers are especially quite popular teamed with
cigarette trousers or ankle grazers which i'm loving. A few cigarette
trousers , Mens shirts (particularly slim line) and a cropped blazer
are on my Summer wish list. You can go for the more masculine look
or if you prefer keep it feminine as long as top and bottoms match
the same colour.
Splits- Side split, Back split, double splits  its all about being sexy and
showing skin midi skirts, dresses, maxi skirts and maxi dresses. Its time
to bring out the pins this trend is definetly bringing sexy back! lol
Japonism- East meets West more like West meets East oriental flavour
kimonos, obi belts and all that picture a modern Geisha  not the easiest
look to pull off i personally think

Black- I love black goes with everything suits every
shape and sizes. But this one leaves a question mark
as i don't think it should be considered as a Summer
colour as everyone knows black absorbs heat lol.
Chequers- This trend is heavily influenced by the 1960's black and white being the most popular combo.

Slouch- I love wearing my brothers jumpers i think i look uber cool in them lol baggy jumpers casual loose trousers ,pyjama pants  keep accessories minimal to pull off this casual look.
Lines- Vertical, Horizontal there is a pair of black and white striped leggings from River Island  that i must get. If your brave! rock the lines look top and bottom if you dare personally too much lines makes my eyes go all blurry.

Frills- This trend speaks for itself.... i like.
Plastic- Plastic was commonly left for the bedroom (freak mode) but now it is on the runway mmmmm coloured plastic, clear plastic looks quite uncomfortable to me lol not for me well in public anyway.

New hair !

Its summer time and maintaining long hair can be a tedious task so i have a short hairstyle the bob! with a fringe i love it Peruvian hair once again this time 3 bundles cost me £75 good look :)

Fringes are so in but i prefer mines going past my brows rather than the shorter style that i am seeing in magazines and plus it allows me and gives me time to grow them out.

Just had my hair done like the other day well happy :D love it so many compliments can't lie I'm loving the attention. Although pricey £150 !!!! For the hair I know right quite a lot but then again it is Peruvian hair.

Hair journey

I went natural in about August of last year (can't believe I have to type last year now lol ) and I sward that I will not be going back to chemically treated hair *sigh* I totally gave up and relaxed my hair in September a colleague of mine actually said to me that I was a natural hair ambassador lol bless her. I just couldn't do it anymore I missed being able to tie up my hair . Missed the hairstyle choices all that I missed irony it ended up not relaxing properly anyway only the roots got straightened my hair was to thick! So I have put my hair in braids to stretch it a little and now I'm looking to relax and trim it again come march . I just get bored so quickly the only thing that I will not do is to colour my hair anyway will keep an update on all of my hairs endeavours.

New Year 2013

Finally 2013 is here! Last year just went by that I can't even remember half of the things that happened. I thank God with all the mistakes I had made in 2012 my eyes are more open and I don't intend to make those same mistakes again! I wrote in my last post that I was flying to the USA *sigh* due to unforeseen circumstances it did not happen . *Sad-face* so the years celebrations was once again in London Town. It started off a disaster going to 3 different house parties that were all epic failures . But then funny enough that the last party we went to rocked ! It made my night so it was a happy ending didn't want to drink this time wanted to remember all that happened. And I have real good memories I did the countdown in church which was awesome but it was humorous that the majority of the young people there were going to go clubbing and do all sorts of obscenities and sins after . Well I know I'm not perfect but at least I didn't drink lol .I pray for Gods favour I know I am blessed already but I need the extra support. This year i am going to stay focused I have so many plans and ideas my goals will be reached going to be 100 all the time impossible no! Challenging yes! But i am ready 2013! Bring it on !!! :p

I was just sitting here watching the Da vinci Code with my Mum and Sister and i don't know why but i thought about my blog and how i don't show it no love but honestly i have fuck! all to write about. Nothing interesting has happened in my life to date broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years got rid of that baggage thank God! . But still i slyly miss him AAAAAHHHHHH! Anyway new year is literally round the corner Christmas was like the other day was not really in the celebration mood as i worked Christmas eve to Boxing day. But boy did i eat! i eat so much on Xmas day (2 plates full) that when i got into work i couldn't move or breath! LOL. Anyway i have been asking friends and family about there new year resolutions and i failed to think about what i want to change and do differently in 2013........Well simple i don't want to do what i did in 2012 in 2013 closing certain chapters and working and hustling that little bit harder i want to be at 100 in everything i do. Had a gap year so going back to uni next year not looking forward to the late nights  and early mornings but looking forward to the challenge that the course brings  I study Creative writing and English Literature. Was thinking about not going back as well but....i am not a quitter i am a go getter and i am not going to give up!  All this kind of sounds negative don't it ? well i'm not a sad case but 2013 needs to bring a little more excitement lol as i write i'm leaving for New York the next day with my family its been a bit hectic trying to sort out the visas and that but i am well excited. I have spent my new years in London ever since i can remember so this is different and i cant wait! ;) to be continued.......

Bentonite Clay Treatment etc

Roughly about 2 or maybe even 3 months ago whilst searching the net for natural hair maintenance tips and products i stumbled upon some lady called Alikay and her YouTube videos the information that she provided  was really useful and helpful. By then i was researching for a natural chelating product and she mentioned that she uses  bentonite clay  it deep cleanses and removes  hair impurities and product build up . I decided to start using it once a month specifically every end of the month  and it does thoroughly clean my hair after the treatment my hair feels squeaky clean . What i do is i add 2 Tablespoons  of the bentonite clay to a bowl and 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil i mix it well together  add a bit of water  apply it to my hair  and then i leave it on for about 30 minutes . Rinse out wash with conditioner once then the 2nd  application i apply the conditioner and then i cover my hair with a shower cap and then leave it for 15 minutes then i rinse moisturize and style as per usual i order the clay from this site www.blackonyxworld.com

I did the infamous black tea rinse that i read about on theUrbanBushBabe blog apparently it stops hair breakage so i thought i should give it a  go i washed my hair as normal. And then when it came to applying conditioner i did so as per usual and then poured the black tea over my hair massaged it in and covered with a shower cap. After about 15 minutes i rinsed what can i say.... well my hair did feel soft after that and when i styled not so much fell out . But still my hair sheds quite a lot i don't know if this is  normal? Anyway it doesn't really have a smell i like to do it once a month because i also do a lavender rinse  and frankly that smells better to me . On the blog too they recommended using the Lipton's Pearl Black Tea but  unfortunately they don't sell it here in the UK and it is even harder to find a company that ships it to the UK not even the Lipton's company provide that service can you believe!!! So i just bought a Turkish brand black tea from my local store  poured 3/4 of boiling water to a cup then i added about 3 or 4 teaspoons of the black tea  mixed it covered it then put in my fridge . I left it overnight the day before wash day so that it can be a stronger brew even though i don't think that makes any difference anyways will keep you all updated on my progress.
